Privacy policy

This site collects nothing from you directly. Here is what that means in detail.

Who we are

The data controller for this website is TurboKast Ltd (company number SC881077), 29 Commercial Street, Dundee, DD1 3DG. We run Plainfiles. You can contact us at [email protected].

What this website does and does not do

  • It sets no cookies.
  • It has no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
  • It has no forms, accounts or comment sections, so we do not collect information through the site.
  • It loads nothing from other companies’ servers. Our font and images are served from this site.

Cloudflare

This site is delivered through Cloudflare. To deliver pages quickly and protect the site from attacks and abuse, Cloudflare may process technical information about your visit, such as your IP address and the browser you use, and may keep logs for security and operational purposes. We have not turned on any Cloudflare analytics or tracking features for this site. Cloudflare’s own notice explains how it handles this data: Cloudflare privacy policy.

Buying from Etsy, Payhip or Amazon

Our site links to the stores where our products are sold. Purchases happen on Etsy, Payhip or Amazon, not on this site. Those companies collect and use your personal data under their own privacy policies and terms. We see only what they pass to us to fulfil an order, such as the name and email address on an Etsy order.

If you email us

If you email us, we use your email address and the content of your message to reply and, where relevant, to correct our guides or help with a purchase. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (answering the people who contact us). We keep messages only as long as we need them for that purpose and for our records, and we do not use them for marketing or share them except with service providers who host our email.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, and object to our use of it. Where it applies, you can also ask for your data in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email [email protected].

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Our guides link to official sites such as GOV.UK and legislation.gov.uk, and to our product pages on Etsy, Payhip and Amazon. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites.

Changes

If we change this policy, for example by adding analytics or a form, we will update this page and the date at the top.
